On Dec 6th, 2014; the MidWest Rum Fest just released it will host the Showcase Flair and Mixology Competition, thanks to Levi Donaldson & the sponsorship of Coco Reál Cream of Coconut. Both events will also be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
The Flair and Mix event is one of a kind. Most cocktail events separate Mixology and Flair contest, but during this competition, bartenders will be put to the test to see their mixology and flairtender knowledge.
Levi Donaldson, producer of Showcase Flair and Mixology Competition, is a world renowned bartender, well versed in mixology and flair. Levi has organized some of the largest flair competitions in the Mid West, and has also competed around the world in Flair and Mixology comps. He is a former Flair Champion and was the first flair bartender ever featured on ESPN. Besides, he has worked for companies like The Food Network, Skyy Vodka, Flor de Cana Rum, Rhum Barbancourt Haiti, Bar Magic and more. He has also been on A and E and the Travel Channel.
Levi Donaldson believes, “Attendees will be able to see bartenders from all over manipulating bottles, tins, glassware and more with style and flair. All while making craft cocktails, using Reál Cocktail Ingredients products, this marriage of bartending styles is jaw dropping entertainment.”
He thinks the event should attract great talent from all over the Midwest, especially since stakes are high in the game with more than $3,000 in cash prizes.
